Biotechnology School “ŠUMATOVAC” in Aleksinac was founded on June 15, 1990. The school educates three- and four-year educational profiles in the field of agriculture, production and food processing. It is the only school in the Nišava district that deals with education in the field of agriculture and food processing. The school currently has around 200 students and 50 employees, of which 35 are teachers. The four-year educational profiles are: agricultural technician, horticulture technician and biotechnology technician. Three-year educational profiles educate: florist-gardener, baker, butcher, milk processor and operator-mechanic of agricultural machinery.
