Biotechnology School “ŠUMATOVAC” in Aleksinac was founded on June 15, 1990. The school educates three- and four-year educational profiles in the field of agriculture, production and food processing. It is the only school in the Nišava district that deals with education in the field of agriculture and food processing. The school currently has around 200 students and 50 employees, of which 35 are teachers. The four-year educational profiles are: agricultural technician, horticulture technician and biotechnology technician. The Gospodarska School  is a vocational school founded in 1994. The students of our school are trained for 15 professions in the fields of agriculture/food/veterinary, transport and logistics, personal services and textiles. The school has around 400 students. Agricultural occupations at the school are four-year agricultural technician, three-year florist, farmer, assistant florist and assistant gardener. Agricultural technician is a profession that can be studied at college or employed in agriculture after high school. A florist can be employed in a flower shop or be the owner of a flower shop. Since the beginning of its operation in 1994, the Gospodarska School  has been growing fruit, vegetables and flowers on the 12 ha of the School of Agriculture and Economics. The production is carried out by teachers and students together during practical lessons. Over the years, the desert has been arranged for a large vegetable garden, an orchard of 0.8ha, fields, a dendrological station and greenhouses for nursery production.
